Restoring an Old Wooden Bench from a Park

The bench is weathered and cracked, its paint peeling. I sand it down, repaint it forest green, and replace loose boards. Adding a plaque that says “For Sharing Stories,” I carry it back to the park. The next day, I see an elderly couple sitting on it, laughing. This restoration isn’t just fixing a bench—it’s giving the community a place to connect.​
